Some random things I learned at Podcasters Across Borders 2009

by Francis Wooby on June 21, 2009

DISCLAIMER: The following will make little-to-no sense unless you attended Podcasters Across Borders (PAB) 2009 in Kingston, Ontario. If not, I wholeheartedly encourage you to check out www.podcastersacrossborders.com and register for 2010!

  • If Tod Maffin is in the room, make sure your laptop is password protected.
  • Richard’s White does not suck, and I’m not just saying this because they’re a sponsor of PAB.
  • Money is not the root of all evil, but the LOVE of money is.
  • Some PABers are apparently being persecuted by the Secret Society of Toastmasters International.
  • Twitter is the new backchannel…or is it?
  • Tod Maffin prefers his backchannel waxed clean, but only with the expensive stuff.
  • You can make your dreams come true. Tim Coyne is proof and inspiration.
  • The Six String Nation project is evidence that Canada ROCKS!!!
  • Bob Goyetche and Mark Blevis ROCK!!! (But it was Mark’s idea.)
  • PLAY – FUN – COMMUNITY
  • Comfort zones should be escaped.
  • The Scarborough Dude really, really likes his fresh fruit.
  • The Canadian Podcasting community has lost a little, gained so much, and has given even more.
